Adventure #2 WOTC H2 Thunderspire Labyrinth (Level 4)
Moonday, 24th of Fireseek, 2000.
The Halfling takes his time, scurrying forward silently and in the shadows to scan the surroundings, or else investigate doors and chambers- after each new discovery he heads back to his colleagues and when possible brings the guys forward to support him. I talked previously with the players about the attack on the Grimmerzhul being treated as a special forces style affair, the guys are certainly taking no chances.
An armoury is discovered, and investigated- save a few suits of Duergar chain there’s nothing much to interest the guys here, Winstanley heads on again. Next up a bunk room, which is likewise quickly investigated- but with nothing to report.
A wide passage leads south to a set of double doors, the Rogue presses himself against the portals to listen, then quickly moves away- the sound of metal on metal, and flame, and more Orc and Duergar voices- a lot of loud noises. And a waft of heat coming through the cracks in the door- a forge the Halfling surmises.
A door to the west is also checked out, it leads into a well chamber- the fortresses water supply perhaps, there’s another door in the chamber, south again, and from the noises beyond it must also lead into the forge. The guys shuffle back to make their plans, and then forward again and into their places- Dirty and Winstanley at the door into the forge from the well chamber, the others at the double door in the passageway- they’re ready…
