Adventure #2 WOTC H2 Thunderspire Labyrinth (Level 4)
Session #8.02


Starday, 15th of Fireseek, 2000.

And so the guys are en route to Thunderspire Labyrinth, and to the Seven Pillared Hall- a trading center within the Labyrinth. They need to search out the Bloodreavers, a Hob/Goblin clan of slavers who were operating in the Keep on the Shadowfell, kidnapping and transporting citizens of Winterhaven, and merchants and the like captured on the King’s Road. The adventurers have found notes, and interrogated captives, to confirm these facts- they know the Bloodreavers are laired somewhere in Thunderspire, and lead by Chief Krand. Furthermore they know that the Bloodreavers are supplying slaves to a bunch of Duergar, also located within the Labyrinth; they must do all they can to find those taken by the Bloodreavers and send them home, safe and sound. This quest was given to the adventurers by Lord Padraig, ruler of Winterhaven, during their last adventure- the rewards for success are great, but not all of the adventurers are motivated by money.

Phrenic, of the Fallcrest Watch, a Tiefling Warlord leads the group- his superiors are happy to loan his expertise to this mission. It is Phrenic’s duty to complete the task- the soldier in him understands that failure is unacceptable, he will give his life trying.

Kaspard, the Half-Elf Cleric of Bahamut, is the second in command of the group, her church instigated these adventures. Kaspard and her superiors have sworn to see this task done, they reason that the slavers must be stopped at all cost, and those captured must likewise be returned to their loved ones. The Priestess is aware however that the Church of Bahamut has history in Thunderspire Labyrinth, they fought evil Minotaur worshippers of Baphomet, and lost, in a place called the Well of Demons nearly a century ago.

Dirty Biskit a rough Dwarf Fighter, once a mercenary (always a mercenary) now an honourary member of the Winterhaven Guard. The Dwarf is however mostly along for the ride, and the money. He will be supplying the muscle, and the malice, to see this venture through.

Grey Morlock, a young Human Wizard, and the restored apprentice of Nimozaran the Green, the self-styled Archmage of Fallcrest. Grey has done a little more research about the Labyrinth, the mage is eager to head to the Seven Pillared Hall, said to be home to the Mages of Saruun, a group of Wizards who rule there. He also has a delivery to make to Gendar, a merchant in the halls.

Lastly, Winstanley the Halfling Rogue, the ‘Scout’ of the party, who has recently been reminded of his employer’s expectations- the Shadowmen (the Thieves Guild in Fallcrest) are maintaining their grip on the Halfling. Winstanley hopes to exercise some of his torments on the Bloodreavers, and any others that cross his path, the Halfling knows that 50% of his take is going straight to his guildmasters- which doesn’t make him at all happy.

And so to Thunderspire, for it seems that in the maze the lost are to be found…
